Volunteer
Gardening and Maintenance is a large part of volunteer work. The volunteers are the ones, who keep the grounds looking presentable for visitors.
You don't have time to become a docent at Sherwood House, but would still like to help? Well, you can become a volunteer and help out in other ways. We could always use help at Sherwood House with gardening, cleaning, and maintaining the grounds on Tuesdays, or with setting up for the flea markets and other events on Saturdays.
Perhaps, you have a special skill or trade that can be of assistance to us. Let us know. Contact us and we can discuss the best way you can help. We greatly appreciate anyone that is willing to volunteer, considering we are all volunteers at the Yonkers Historical Society.
Volunteers also help out with our Flea Markets and Holiday Boutique, as well as with making preparations for those and other events.
