Candlelight Tours Weekend Event!!!

Each year usually on the first or second Sunday of December, the Yonkers Historical Society holds its Candlelight Tour at Sherwood House to celebrate the holiday season. Admission is free and there is a Holiday Boutique in the Weed Caretaker's Cottage, where merchandise and refreshments are made available.
Sometimes, volunteers wear historic costumes and Christmas carols are sung. In the past, there have been book signings, sculptor exhibits, special guests, and other great experiences. Each year is different and fun for the whole family. Visitors are welcome to tour the second oldest house in Yonkers with friendly and knowledgeable volunteers as your guides.
Donations are most welcome and greatly appreciated. All donations go to the betterment and care of the museum and its ever aging structures and exhibits.
